Generously donated by COENRAAD VERMAAK SAFARIS: Coenraad Vermaak Safaris, the longest established safari company in South Africa and long time supporter of DSC since the club's inception, is pleased to donate this 7-night, 6-day plains game safari for one hunter with one Professional Hunter at the exclusive Khamab Kalahari Reserve (KKR) - the largest hunting area in South Africa! The winning bidder (and any added guests) will have 240,000 acres of magical Kalahari wilderness all to themselves! This hunt is available March through November, 2015 and includes the trophy fees for 1x gemsbok, 1x springbok, 1x red hartebeest, 1x zebra, 1x warthog, 1x blue wildebeest and 1x impala. Khamab is the finest safari destination in South Africa, period! It is situated in the most remote and least populated region of South Africa. The silence is deafening, the tranquility is refreshing and at night you will think the stars are within arms reach! Khamab is home to lion, leopard, cheetah, black & white rhino, Cape buffalo, African wild dogs, hyena and a large variety of excellent quality plains game species, including phenomenal gemsbok, kudu, eland and springbok. (The new world record springbok was hunted at KKR during the 2014 season and, more often than not, gemsbok bulls exceeding 40 inches are also taken). There is no malaria in this region and Khamab is an ideal family safari destination, as well as the serious trophy hunter wishing to collect exceptional quality trophies. The lodge is five-star; it is air conditioned, boasts a swimming pool and sleeps 8-10 guests. The catering and attention to detail are unmatched. The quality of trophies and the wilderness experience are unsurpassed. This is a first-class safari, bar none! Please visit the CVS booth to obtain a reference list of the DSC members who have enjoyed spectacular safaris in this unique concession. This donation includes first-class accommodations, all meals and soft drinks for the duration of the safari, safari support staff (trackers, skinners, housekeeping), daily laundry, vehicle and fuel, transfers between nearest airport and the concession by vehicle, field prep and delivery of trophies to raw prep agent or Life Form Taxidermy. Additional costs include liquor, wine and beer, rifle hire and ammunition (if applicable), gratuities and 14% tax on wounded and lost game. Additional hunters, including non-hunting companions, are welcome at CVS current listed rates. This hunt may be upgraded to include additional days and/or additional game at CVS's current published price list. Dallas Safari Club thanks Coenraad Vermaak Safaris for this 100% donation.
