System Requirements
Overview
Check over the different System Requirements below to ensure your system is able to correctly run our software.
Compare your Hardware & Internet capabilities with our suggested hardware profiles,
and compare your Operating System & Browser with our tested systems.
Make sure you have the Java Plugin installed (Java 2 SE v1.4.2 or better).
If the auction offers streaming audio and/or video then you will need the Flash Plugin installed to be able to listen/watch the media stream.
Having trouble connecting, or buttons dont work? You might be running a Firewall and/or a Popup Blocker...
NOTE: You must have JavaScript enabled on your browser for our system to work correctly! Most browsers are JavaScript capable and have it enabled by default.
Internet Requirements
We suggest a highspeed internet connection such as ADSL, Cable, etc. but a reliable 56k dial-up connection is our minimum requirement and it should be sufficient.
The bidding software can be run over slower internet connection including dial-up, however a faster internet connection is
strongly advised (eg. ADSL, Cable, etc). Slower connections can result in delayed communications, if the auction offers a live
audio/video stream a slow internet connection may perform poorly.
Hardware Requirements
Any reasonably modern computer should be able to run our live bidding software. If you computer was made in the last 10 years
it probably can run our software, although as always the newer your computer is then the better the experience will probably be.
A screen resolution of at least 800 x 600 pixels is recommended, but a resolution of 1024 x 768 or larger is suggested.
Windows Systems
Most Windows versions can run our software, including:
Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, or better...
Web Browsers on Windows that we know support our softare include:
Firefox 0.8 (or better), Internet Explorer 6 (or better), Chrome, Opera 7.5 (or better), Safari, Netscape 7 (or better) other browsers may also work,
we just haven't tested them all.
Mac Systems
Mac OS X 10.3.3 or better should be compatible with our system. Mac OS's less than OS X 10.3.3 don't use the Standard Java Engine and therefore aren't compatible.
Apple's Safari web browser supports our system. Other browsers that support the Java 2 SE version 1.4.2 (or better) should work but as of this
writing we haven't tested any browsers on the Apple Mac platform apart from Safari.
Linux & Others
Other Operating Systems (eg. Linux) also support our software with certain browsers. The primary aspects dictating if our software & website will
function correctly with your operating system and browser are if you have the Java 2 SE version 1.4.2 (or better) installed and it works with your browser,
and if your browser supports modern web standards such as HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, etc (almost all browsers do).
Java Plugin
You must have Java to run our software!
Although our software may work in previous versions of Java we strongly recommend that you get at least Java 2 SE v1.4.2 or better.
For the best experience we suggest you get/update to the latest version of Java. You can get the latest Java from the Java.com website:
Flash Plugin
Adobe's Flash Player is optional, it is only needed to listen/view audio/video streams, it is NOT needed to participate and bid in an online auction.
Flash is needed to listen/view to audio/video streams that are sometimes offered by the auctioneer during a live auction.
You do NOT need to have Flash to participate and bid in an online auction, the bidding software requires Java not Flash;
only the audio/video stream (if offered) requires Flash to work.

Firewall Settings
If you are running a Firewall it may stop our software from connecting to the Live Auction servers! If you have a Firewall
you may need to allow outgoing connections on TCP ports 8250 and 8251. Refer to your Firewall's documentation for more info...
Popup Blocker Settings
Popup Blocking software may hinder some of our windows from displaying! You may need to disable the Popup Blocker (if you have one) or
adjust it to allow our site to popup windows. Refer to your Popup Blocker's documentation for more info...
