AFRICAN BUFFALO SAFARI TRACKERS LTD: Mto wa Mbu GCA is one of the finest hunting concessions in the heart of Maasailand located just 2.5 hours west of Arusha with the bordering Ngorongoro Conservation, Lake Manyara National Park and Lake Natron GCA to the north. Well-known for its Maasai plains game species, this concession is one of the very few places in Tanzania with large concentrations of Thomson's and Grant’s gazelle, as well as many other species such as gerenuk, lesser kudu, oryx, eland, zebra and more; but let's not to forget its amazing cat population. The main camp is situated at Mount Loosimingori 4,000 feet (1,200m) above sea level where guests will enjoy cool mountain breezes and breathtaking views of the Rift Valley escarpment and the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation. Camp amenities include en-suite safari-style tents well-distanced from each other to provide ultimate privacy and comfort, solar powered energy to enhance maximum quietness for enjoying the surrounding wilderness, a well-selected and trained camp team to cater to your every need and freshly prepared meals using only the finest natural ingredients, spices and vegetables. This 10-day 1x1 free range hunt for one hunter and one non-hunter is available July through December, 2016 only and includes the option to hunt 1x key species (gerenuk OR lesser kudu OR oryx, AND Grant's gazelle, Thomson's gazelle, impala, white-beard wildebeest and zebra) - but does not include the trophy fee, at current rate. A $5,000 deposit will be required at booking to reserve hunt dates. Method of take is rifle for game and shotgun for optional bird hunting at the cost of the trophy fee per bird ($20-$30); Tanzania offers some of the finest bird hunting available in Africa today. Upgrades include 1) adding a second key species on 10-day hunt, 2) adding a second and third species on 14-day hunt and 3) adding leopard plus all three key species on 16-day hunt, all at current rates. This package includes round-trip transportation between Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport and the hunt concession, accommodations, all meals, beverages, Professional Hunter, game guides/skinners, transportation during hunting days via hunting vehicle, trophy prep, delivery to local taxidermist, camp assistants/cooks and laundry service. Not included are dipping/packing/shipping (approx. $800-$2,000), taxidermy, domestic/charter flights, firearm import ($350/gun), liquor, accommodations before/after hunt in Arusha ($200-$250), transportation outside of hunting area, sightseeing trips, gun hire/ammunition, gratuities (recommended at $1,700/week for camp staff), personal expenses, insurance, permit fee/conservation fee/government trophy handling fees at $4,650 for hunters; $1,000 for non-hunters and trophy fees for all species taken, wounded or lost.
