Generously donated by DAVID AND KATHY ALLISON: The bulls will be bugling with steam rolling off their backs in the early morning dew as you join camp cook Larry Weishuhn and fabled elk hunting story-teller Jim Zumbo in east Texas for a hunt you won't soon forget! Here, you and your guest will enjoy 4 days of 2x1 guided hunting with Jim and Larry along-side two unsung heroes (Wounded Warrior hunter and observer) - includes 1x trophy bull elk and 1x management elk to be shared by hunters. Thick timber make this a challenging hunt in east Texas - an area abundant with game and where indigenous elk once roamed. Method of take is rifle .270 or larger, with bow as an alternate choice. This hunt may be upgraded to include whitetail deer (in season), larger/additional elk and feral hogs as per current price list. Additional hunters and observers are welcome current rates. This hunt is available on mutually agreeable dates in 2015 or 2016, with the rut occurring September through October. Transportation during the hunt is mostly by 4WD vehicle and foot. This donation includes trophy prep and full accommodations. Not included are trophy transportation to processor/taxidermist, transportation to/from ranch and a Texas hunting license. To commemorate this special hunt, this donation also includes a framed American flag that was flown over an Afghanistan military base in honor of combat Wounded Warrior alumni GySgt Brian Meyer USMC; an EOD specialist injured in Afghanistan by an IED explosion. The intrinsic value of this one-of-a-kind flag is priceless. Auction proceeds will be equally shared by Wounded Warriors Outdoors and Dallas Ecological Foundation. Both organizations are 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. Reference "Charitable Deduction Qualifications" in the Official Auction Rules section of your auction catalog. Separate payments to WWO and DEF will be required. Dallas Ecological Foundation and Wounded Warriors Outdoors thanks Larry Weishuhn, Jim Zumbo and Kathy & David Allison for this 100% donation. www.DallasEcologicalFoundation.org, www.WoundedWarriorOutdoors.com.
