6-day 2x1 Alaska Peninsula wolf rifle hunt for two hunters at Wildman Lake Lodge with Gary "Butch" King, Master Guide. Includes two LIFE SIZE wolves MOUNTED IN ALASKA by Knights Taxidermy, Alaska's premiere taxidermy studio. These notorious wolf packs have not been targeted by wildlife managers for over thirty-five years. Wolf numbers on the Alaska Peninsula have risen to epic numbers over the past two decades. Today, numerous large wolf packs roam freely, unchecked, rarely hunted and have even been allowed to decimate the famed Alaska Peninsula Caribou herd. Recent wolf management programs by the State of Alaska, have only pushed these packs on to the unmanaged Federal lands, where they continue to thrive and populate. This fully guided and outfitted wolf hunt for two hunters will be conducted on the Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge, which has been off limits to any predator control efforts by the State of Alaska. Several large packs are known to live on the Refuge where they flourish, virtually unmolested after having been responsible for one human death and having decimated a once great caribou herd. To date, they continue to raise havoc with the people and pets in the villages of Chignik Lake, Chignik Lagoon, Port Heiden and Perryvillle. Your best trophy wolf will be MOUNTED IN ALASKA , by world renown Knights Taxidermy, Alaska's premiere taxidermy studio, recently featured on the HISTORY CHANNEL series "Mounted in Alaska". Master taxidermist RUSSELL KNIGHT and his talented staff will create a masterpiece of your prize wild Alaska wolf. This is a rare opportunity to take a trophy of a lifetime and have it MOUNTED IN ALASKA by Alaska's finest taxidermy studio. This is your chance to help make a difference for wildlife and the indigenous people who live on the Alaska Peninsula. For years, sport hunters were limited to two wolves a year, only after buying expensive trophy tags up front. Now, limits have been liberalized to 10 wolves a DAY with no trophy tag required for this fall hunting season in hopes of eliminating a substantial number of wolves from the Alaska Peninsula. But without effort in the field, even this won't make a difference. So let's help Alaska Master Guide, Gary "Butch" King and Wildman Lake Lodge take some wolves this September, by bidding on this 100% donation to DSC. Your Hosts at Wildman Lake Lodge, Gary "Butch" and Kathy King. Transportation during the hunt is mostly by spot & stalk and plane. Not included in this donation is an $85 hunt license, airfare to/from Anchorage to the hunting location ($800) and accommodation before/after hunt in Anchorage ($220/night). Dallas Safari Club thanks Wildman Lake Lodge for this 100% donation.
